Driver’s Education is available for students in the St. Charles School District who are 15 years old or older by August 31st, 2026.
The in-person classroom session (30 hours) will be completed at St. Charles Elementary School. Classroom sessions are 3 hours per time and are mandatory, with no virtual option. After completing the classroom sessions, students will receive a “Blue Card”. Students will need this card when applying for an instructional permit with the DMV.

Monday - Friday June 8th - 12th

Parent Meeting (optional): scheduled for the week of June 8th
(time/day TBD, more information will be shared with registered students during the first week of class)
(This fee includes the 30 classroom hours and the 6 behind-the-wheel hours).

After registration, class participants will receive an email approximately one week before class with classroom updates, reminders, and information from the instructor.

This class will be in-person. Minnesota State Statute requires each student to complete 30 hours in the classroom. If you are unable to attend all of the dates please consider another session date.
